“I always start my morning with a little bit of tea. Before, I’d scroll through my phone to catch up on the news for the day. But lately, I thought it might be better to just be mindful...and a little quiet.

I started stepping outside for a moment of silence. Listening to the birds, feeling the breeze and watching the sky for a few minutes without screens has helped me feel more calm during as I’m self-isolating and social distancing.

Although I’m grateful for everything we have -- especially for my new flexibility in life -- I’ve learned to take more moments to just be quiet. There’s something so refreshing about taking a minute just to center yourself and be present.

I want to encourage others to take a minute every day to just breathe. The time we’re living in is a marathon, not a sprint. Take a deep breath, and a few minutes to just enjoy the space around you. It’ll change your day and help you thrive.” Mila, @TheHangryWoman
